Situated on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon is an Elizabethan market town with historical significance. It is probably most famous as being the birthplace of Williams Shakespeare. The town has beautifully quaint half-timberd buildings dating back to medieval times that instantly transport you back in time. In particular Henley and Sheep street are worth a visit.
